Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Trial Paralegal with over 8 years of expertise to assist attorneys throughout the various stages of legal proceedings, including case initiation, discovery, litigation, settlement, trial, and appeals.

This role demands a robust understanding of civil litigation and trial readiness. Key pre-trial duties encompass:

  • Preparation of subpoenas and consumer notices
  • Reviewing medical records and creating chronologies
  • Conducting witness interviews
  • Summarizing depositions
  • Researching legal matters
  • Managing small claims issues

Trial Responsibilities:

During trial phases, the paralegal will be responsible for:

  • Organizing and preparing cases for trial
  • Issuing subpoenas and notices for attendance
  • Tracking and coordinating witnesses
  • Preparing exhibit and witness lists and binders
  • Creating California Civil Jury Instructions (CACIs)
  • Assembling discovery and trial notebooks

Experience in time tracking and billing is essential.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a positive demeanor, be self-motivated, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Excellent communication skills, reliability, and professionalism are crucial. Proficiency in MS Word and familiarity with the Code of Civil Procedure are required. Experience with electronic trial presentation software is advantageous.

Compensation:
Salary range is between $90,000 and $100,000.
