Position Overview

Essential Function: The Emergency Department Registered Respiratory Therapist operates under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Manager at Great Falls Clinic Medical Center. This role involves delivering respiratory care services to a diverse patient population, particularly those experiencing cardiopulmonary disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic testing and therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide continuous support and monitoring of patients' respiratory status.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver education regarding respiratory health.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure compliance with physician orders for respiratory services.
  • Manage equipment processing, testing, and maintenance within the Respiratory Care department.

Job Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of respiratory care processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with applicable federal and state regulations, as well as departmental policies.
  • Professional appearance and conduct in alignment with industry standards.
  • Understanding of continuous quality improvement practices and current initiatives.
