Job Overview

Position Summary

The Litigation Associate Attorney will play a vital role in managing various litigation tasks. This includes the preparation and execution of written discovery such as interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records to extract relevant information for ongoing cases.
  • Facilitate and defend depositions as required.
  • Assist in the preparation for trials, which encompasses drafting legal documents, organizing exhibits, and liaising with witnesses.
  • Oversee expert witness involvement, including their selection, preparation, and coordination throughout the case.
  • Provide clients with consistent updates regarding the status of their cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant litigation experience, ideally within a law firm environment.
  • In-depth understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures.
  • Exceptional research and writing capabilities.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based litigation software and billing practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
