Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Progressive Field. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a positive image of the Cleveland Guardians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by employing the START and HEART service model, incorporating suggestive selling techniques, and upholding the "Image of Champions" to maximize sales potential and ensure fan satisfaction.
  • Merchandising: Collaborate with the Supervisor to ensure that the location adheres to company visual merchandising standards, coordinate with the Supervisor to organize backstock and storage rooms according to company guidelines, and communicate merchandise needs and ideas to management and buying team.
  • Operations/Loss Prevention: Support the daily maintenance and smooth operation of assigned location, participate in training sessions to proficiently operate POS systems, adhere to all loss prevention standards established by the Ballpark Retail management team to safeguard company assets, and promptly report any violations of loss prevention policies to the Retail Ballpark management team.
Requirements:
  • Previous Sales Experience: Previous sales, customer service, and/or register experience preferred.
  • Availability: Available to work a minimum of 55 out of 81 home games (65%) during the months of April through October, available to work 100% of Jewel Events and Post Season Games, and work entire assigned shift, including pre-events, post-events, and rain delays.
  • Organizational Requirements: Reads, speaks, comprehends, and communicates English effectively in all communications, represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public, and ability to work with diverse populations and have a demonstrated commitment to social justice.
