We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Medicine Professional to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing top-notch care and education to athletes, while also being part of a dynamic and growing organization.
Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is between $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibilities- Provide Athletic Training Services: Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program for contracted organizations, including functional athletic training rooms and updated policies and procedures manuals.
- Injury Assessment and Treatment: Provide first aid and injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning services for athletes affiliated with contracted organizations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document injuries, illnesses, treatments, and rehabilitation in adherence with JAG PT policy and state licensure professional practice standards.
- Safety and Risk Management: Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
- Education and Community Outreach: Provide in-services and educational programs to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities on health and fitness-related topics.
- Workers' Compensation Management: Act as the workers' compensation case manager for contracted teams, submitting insurance information, facilitating referrals, tracking claims, and reporting back to the organization within HIPPA/FERPA guidelines.
- Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with other JAG PT professionals, including physical therapists and physicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training (CAATE-approved program) and completion of BOC certification.
- Licensure: Licensed in the state of practice as an Athletic Trainer.
- Clearance: Department of Education clearance (if working in secondary schools).
- Certification: Current BLS certification and maintenance of Personal Liability Insurance.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to fluid situations and adjust to changing circumstances.
