Clinical Excellence in Critical Care

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Critical Care Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.

**Responsibilities**

- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

**Requirements**

- 8 week contract
- Acuity adaptable unit
- RN Med/Surg experience
- Ability to float to sites within 40 miles if needed
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Travel Register Nurse

**Qualifications**

- BLS and ACLS certification
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong technical skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care

**Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required**

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
