Job Description

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to lead the design and development of multiple applications for a large-scale Federal IT Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of multiple applications using Java/Spring based REST APIs and a Web 2.0 framework.
  • Develop Java/Spring solutions and lead teams of software developers in implementing solutions and conducting detailed design reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality applications.
  • Design and implement database schema and develop SQL queries to support large-scale applications.
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration environments to ensure efficient and reliable application deployment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with an Associate's degree, or minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • 8+ years of hands-on development experience, including at least 6+ years of Java/Spring development experience.
  • Significant experience with developing applications using the Java Spring framework.
  • Experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git).
  • 3 years of work experience with Web development technologies (JavaScript, HTML, JSP, etc.).
  • 3 years' experience in developing using Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Java development experience to build enterprise applications.
  • 3+ years developing enterprise solutions using the Java Spring framework.
  • Detailed understanding of database schema design/SQL.
  • Thorough understanding and experience in developing using agile scrum methodologies.
  • 6+ years of experience with using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git).
  • Experience leading a team of developers for a large-scale Federal IT program.
