We are in search of a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our esteemed team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care through precise laboratory analysis. We value collaboration and are looking for an individual who shares our commitment to enhancing the patient experience.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise and timely laboratory analyses; evaluate proficiency testing samples as per guidelines and complete within the designated timeframe.
- Assume leadership of the laboratory as necessary in the absence of supervisory personnel.
- Maintain comprehensive records/documentation related to patient outcomes and manage all critical laboratory specimens/test results.
- Execute urgent procedures within established turnaround time standards.
- Exhibit sound judgment and independent reasoning in the correlation and interpretation of patient data (including performing delta checks, etc.).
- Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs; address any outstanding workload or communicate with staff relief.
- Implement quality control measures in accordance with established protocols.
- Take appropriate corrective actions when patient, control, standard, calibration, and/or proficiency results fall outside of acceptable parameters.
- A minimum of a 2 Year/Associate Degree is mandatory.
- A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- A valid State of Florida Technologist License is required OR the ability to secure a license during the interview process.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory role.
