We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join our team at Balster Pediatric Dentistry. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in a fast-paced pediatric dental office.
Responsibilities:- Assist dentists with chairside procedures, including taking x-rays and preparing patients for treatment.
- Provide excellent patient care, ensuring a positive experience for children and their families.
- Support the scheduling staff with administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in the operating room at St. Luke's Unity Point Hospital, as needed.
- Complete the expanded functions nitrous oxide course and maintain current certification.
- Current Registered Dental Assistant license in the state of Iowa with added qualification in dental radiography.
- Current CPR certification.
- Pediatric experience and knowledge of Eaglesoft software, preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing schedules.

Office hours include Monday – Thursday 8 am to 5 pm. Fridays, Dr. Balster and Dr. Pfohl are at the hospital, and the successful candidate will rotate in the surgery schedule.
