Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Sutter Health. As the first point of contact for patients entering our medical facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check-in patients, verifying information and scheduling appointments as needed
  • Update Electronic Health Records (EHR) and facilitate intake procedures, including completion of healthcare and insurance forms and collection of payments for services
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to gain confidence and cooperation
  • Adhere to all organizational, local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
Requirements
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, as well as patient billing
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 8 days a week, Monday through Friday. The pay range for this role is $23.88 to $29.83 per hour, and eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
