Job Title: Dental Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Metro Community Health Center. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care and associated services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists and dental hygienists in patient care, office, and laboratory duties.
  • Prepare patients and patient information for treatment, including taking and processing x-rays.
  • Document patient records and related administrative documentation.
  • Provide education to patients on oral hygiene and dental care.
  • Assist with emergency measures during treatment.
  • Perform expanded duties as allowable by law and as directed by the dentist.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a dental assistant program.
  • Current Radiation Safety Certificate and/or successful completion of a radiation safety course.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Certification in Office Practice or enrollment in such a program is desired.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal clinic working environment.
  • Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to speak and read and write the English Language.

Blood Borne Pathogen Exposure:

Category I: Job classification includes ALL employees who have occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing their job duties.
