Job Title: Staff Geologist - Geotechnical Expert

HVJ Associates is seeking a highly skilled Staff Geologist to provide technical support to project managers and teams, ensuring client satisfaction by adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.

$80,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct geotechnical fieldwork, including site inspections, logging, and laboratory testing as required.
  • Coordinate tasks to ensure timely completion of field and laboratory assignments.
  • Perform complex engineering analyses for shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, and settlement.
  • Draft comprehensive geotechnical reports for review by project managers.
  • Collaborate with project managers on business development activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE or MSCE).
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Registered Geologist-in-Training (GIT) or licensed Professional Geologist (PG).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong math and science skills.
  • Valid Texas driver's license.
