Traveling Cardiac Sonographer

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our team on a travel assignment. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic ultrasound examinations and providing high-quality patient care.
Job Summary:- Conduct multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures.
- Work under the direction of the Manager, Ultrasound Services, Medical Director of Vascular Laboratory and Radiology Department, and the Administrative Director for the Department of Surgery and Radiology.
- Collaborate with experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program.
- Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations for patients with various medical conditions.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account individual needs and medical histories.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
- Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.
- National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent, if applicable.
- State licensure, if required.
- Advanced certification by accrediting body in specialty, RVT/RCS/RDCS or equivalent, for Cardiac/Vascular, within 18 months of hire, if applicable.
- BLS certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or outpatient clinic.
- CCRN certification.
- Skilled Nursing experience.
- Psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic experience.
