We are currently accepting applications for our New Grad RN Residency Program at CHRISTUS Health. This comprehensive one-year program is designed to transition new graduate nurses into the fast-paced hospital world with greater confidence, more comprehensive knowledge, and an enhanced set of skills.
The program offers a supportive environment where you'll be guided by experienced nurses who act as mentors, preceptors, and de-briefers. You'll also have access to interactive classes and skills labs taught by subject matter experts to strengthen your educational foundation.
As a participant in our Nurse Residency Program, you'll have the opportunity to work in various units within our hospital system, including The Children's Hospital, Medical Center, Westover Hills, New Braunfels, and San Marcos. Our goal is to provide you with a well-rounded learning experience that prepares you for a successful career in nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a comprehensive one-year residency program
- Work in various units within our hospital system
- Collaborate with experienced nurses and subject matter experts
- Develop clinical skills and knowledge through interactive classes and skills labs
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Six months to a year of experience as a licensed RN or holder of an active GN permit
- BLS required
- RN License in state of employment or compact
- Graduate Nurse Permit
