Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team, and contributing to the development and implementation of patient care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policy and procedures.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to non-licensed staff as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on care and treatment options.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate post-discharge care.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a related area.
  • Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Course completion within 1 year of hire.
