Job Title: Psychiatrist III

Job Summary:

The Psychiatrist III will perform advanced psychiatric assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide medication management services to residents in state-supported living centers. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Provide education and training to staff on psychiatric topics and best practices
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Psychiatry or related field
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in Texas
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
