Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Relationship Banker to join our team at M&T Bank. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to our retail and business customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying their financial needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Sales and Service: Proactively reach out to customers to offer value-added products and services, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on M&T Bank's products and services, and effectively communicate their benefits to customers.
  • Risk Management: Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal controls to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal business partners to achieve branch goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 2 years proven retail sales, customer service, and/or telesales experience.
  • Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service, and proficiency with internet user-level technology.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree, notary public license, and bilingual skills based on branch needs.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to: Stand for long periods of time, use hands and fingers for prolonged periods, lift light to heavy objects weighing 5 lbs. to 30lbs, read fine print, and interact with customers in an open face-to-face work environment.
Compensation and Benefits

M&T Bank offers competitive compensation and benefits packages to its employees. The pay range for this position is $34.05 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
