The Sonographer I performs and assists in performing a variety of procedures in Echo Lab, stress lab, and patient care areas. This includes adult, pediatric, and neonate Echo's, adult TEE's, Dobutamine stress, contrast ECHO, and peripheral vascular testing. This position treats and cares for patients of all ages, requiring a full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.
Responsibilities- Perform and assist in performing various procedures in Echo Lab, stress lab, and patient care areas.
- Treat and care for patients of all ages, including adult, pediatric, and neonate Echo's.
- Assist in performing adult TEE's, Dobutamine stress, contrast ECHO, and peripheral vascular testing.
- Support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
- Theoretical background in basic electronics, hemodynamic measurements, exercise stress testing, cardiac sonography, and vascular procedures.
- AHA Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
- RG ARDMS or RCS is preferred.
- Completion of an approved (AMA) Program for Cardiovascular Technology or other allied health field with Certificate is preferred.
- Membership in National Organization for Cardiovascular Technologists is desirable.
$66.05/hour
