Construction Inspector

RK&K is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in Fayetteville, NC.

The ideal candidate will conduct field inspections for a wide range of Transportation, Highways, and Structural construction projects in the heavy civil industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to evaluate materials and construction processes.
• Ensure construction conforms to plans, specifications, and special provisions.
• Manage project assignments and conduct field inspections.
• Document work using mobile devices and communicate results to supervisors.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspections and understand construction design.
• Conduct field measurements for pay item documentation and contract administration.
• Inspect work zones for proper traffic control, erosion control, and utility coordination.

Requirements:

• At least two years of roadway inspection experience for highway construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and favorable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• NCDOT Certifications (Erosion & Sediment Control Level II, Introduction to Asphalt Pavements, QMS Roadway Technician, etc.).
• NICET Certifications.
