The Industrial Athletic Trainer will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees. This position requires a strong focus on injury prevention and evaluation, ergonomic risk assessments, and corrective action planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Site-Specific Wellness Initiatives: Create and execute programs to promote employee health and wellness, including ergonomic risk assessments and corrective action planning.
- Provide First-Aid Treatment and Management: Offer immediate care for musculoskeletal complaints, including the use of ice, heat, wellness stretches, massage, tape techniques, and non-rigid bracing.
- Conduct Ergonomic Risk Analyses: Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Coordinate Treatment Plans: Work with employees to develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary.
- Collect and Analyze Data: Gather and analyze data to track program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate with Safety Personnel: Regularly collaborate with safety personnel to ensure alignment and coordination of rehab and injury prevention activities.
- Attend Meetings and Serve on Committees: Participate in meetings and serve on committees as requested by the client to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field: A degree in athletic training, exercise science, or a related field is required.
- Board of Certification (BOC) Certification: BOC certification is mandatory for this position.
- State Licensure/Certification: State licensure or certification is required.
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification: Current certification in first aid, CPR, and AED is necessary.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with clients and employees.
