Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health's Utah Valley Hospital. As an Angiography and Interventional Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for performing angiography procedures and advanced imaging techniques to assist in diagnostic and interventional radiology.

About the Role

  • You will ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepare patients for exams using appropriate body mechanics.
  • You will identify proper exams based on patient need and utilize correct exam techniques.
  • You will produce quality images through the appropriate operation of equipment/instrumentation.
  • You will follow proper patient identification protocols.
  • You will thoroughly and accurately complete all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.

Responsibilities

  • You will maintain work area and stocks needed supplies.
  • You will transport patients as needed.
  • You will develop specific knowledge regarding invasive, diagnostic and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques.
  • You will apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.
  • You will understand and apply principles of x-ray generation and safety.
  • You will understand and demonstrate the correct operation of imaging equipment.

Requirements

  • ARRT Registration.
  • State of Utah Rad Tech License.
  • BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
  • 1 year of vascular or interventional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS or PALS certification.

Work Environment

  • This position requires ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.

Utah Valley Hospital, Provo, UT

The hourly range for this position is $37.46 - $57.80 per hour, with a total estimated annual salary of approximately $77,872 - $119,600. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. Learn more about our comprehensive benefits packages.
