Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a 60-bed Emergency Room with 14 fast-track beds and bedside triage. As a critical care travel nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3, collaborating with charge nurses, unit secretaries, paramedics, and CNAs. You will manage a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule period and 2 of 3 major holidays during the holiday season. You will utilize tele GE Lifepacks monitors and work with various vents, including Puritan Benette 840, Dreager, Vision Bipap, and V60s. You will support a team of 26 physicians, 24 midlevels, and a 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy team. You will float between two Emergency Rooms, possibly during midshifts, and complete 23 days of floor-specific orientation. You will handle common diagnoses such as trauma, MVAs, gunshot wounds, CVA, MI, high-risk OB, psychiatric holds, cardioversions, and conscious sedation for closed fractures. You will utilize a charting system for record-keeping. This is a high-paced role in an emergency setting, requiring adaptability and a strong ability to respond swiftly to various patient needs.
