When a Netflix subscriber accesses our application, we have a limited timeframe to assist them in selecting a narrative or game that aligns with their preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute algorithmic strategies to generate Visual Promotional Media Assets that effectively guide our members in selecting stories or games that will engage them in a cost-efficient manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists, to articulate problem statements, outline roadmaps, and prioritize initiatives.
- Convey intricate concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to influence key strategic choices.
- Remain updated on the latest advancements in the field by participating in conferences, reviewing research publications, and applying innovative ideas that can enhance Promo Media processes.
- Foster the growth of the team and domain by exploring new avenues and initiating projects with significant potential for impact.
- Engage with the machine learning community, both internally and externally, to learn, teach, and contribute to building a strong Netflix brand in the ML space.
About You:
- You possess a solid foundation in machine learning and deep learning, encompassing supervised and/or unsupervised learning, deep learning architectures, GANs, and diffusion models.
- You hold an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with a focus on Computer Vision.
- You have proficient programming skills in Python and experience with ML/DL frameworks such as PyTorch.
- You have a proven track record of addressing complex challenges with innovative algorithmic solutions in the media and content creation sectors.
- You can both devise novel algorithms and adapt existing methodologies from literature to tackle new challenges.
- You embody an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of weighing risks against rewards, and possess a strong drive to initiate and execute projects with substantial impact.
- You are an exceptional communicator, adept at elucidating complex technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, contributing positively to team and organizational culture.
Compensation and Benefits:
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not offer bonuses. You have the flexibility to choose how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options each year. The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $720,000. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits, including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick leave. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
