Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Hillview Health Center. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean resident rooms, offices, and common areas, including vacuuming, wiping, mopping, polishing, and disposing of refuse in accordance with facility established sanitation procedures.
  • Housekeeping Schedules: Follow a regular schedule of daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual cleaning requirements, and coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a cleaning cart fully equipped with needed supplies, and properly clean and store all equipment and supplies.
  • Resident Support: Assist with transferring resident and belongings, and provide general support to residents as needed.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any damage of walls, floors, furniture, equipment, etc. to the supervisor, and maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/information.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Practical knowledge of day-to-day cleaning in a nursing facility, and a willingness to perform a variety of simple repetitive tasks.
  • Skills and Abilities: Organized and detailed in work performance, good communication skills, excellent self-discipline and patience, and a genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
  • Physical Demands: Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.
