Position Overview:

Beacon Hill is seeking a highly skilled Histopathologist to support our Non-clinical Development Team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multiple departments to enhance and develop our histopathology and molecular pathology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert for histopathology/molecular pathology, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and optimize IHC/ISH staining methods, ensuring high-quality results and efficient workflows.
  • Operate and maintain whole slide imaging systems, including scanning and analysis of histological samples.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage the organization and ordering of materials and reagents required for studies and histology equipment.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date electronic lab notebook, ensuring accurate records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • BS/MS degree in a relevant field, with at least 5 years of experience in histopathology or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in standard histological techniques, including tissue processing, fixation, decalcification, embedding, and cutting of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded animal tissues.
  • Experience with the development and execution of histology-based assays, including IHC, ISH, IF, and special stains.
  • Experience with method transfer to CROs and familiarity with autostainers, digital image analysis, and storage systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and due diligence in project execution.
