Key Responsibilities:
As a Tanker Trailer Technician, your duties will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing trailers.
- Conducting annual/systematic 180-day and HM-183 inspections on equipment as mandated.
- Ensuring all equipment complies with Federal FHWA standards.
- Operating a yard hostler truck for the movement of trailers within the facility.
- Ordering and receiving necessary parts and supplies.
Additionally, you will adhere to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is essential for equipment longevity and workplace safety. You may also be required to utilize welding equipment and perform various other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with a solid understanding of equipment theory, principles, and repair related to diesel engines, as well as air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with a comprehensive knowledge of trailer maintenance, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- The ability to work a second shift (1 PM - 9:30 PM).
Education:
While a high school diploma or equivalent vocational training is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $26 to $28.
Experience Requirements:
1 year of experience in trailer maintenance and knowledge of DOT regulations, as well as equipment theory and repair related to diesel engines and other systems.
