Job Summary

Summa Health is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Associate to join our team at the Behavioral Health Pavilion. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report patient behaviors, providing continuous care and documentation of observations and patient activity.
  • Interact with patients, families, and visitors to assist in achieving healthcare goals.
  • Support the patient care team by performing non-clinical patient care duties, such as environmental, dietary, transportation, and administrative tasks.
  • Respond to crisis situations and medical emergencies as needed in a behavioral health setting.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
  • Direct patient experience in a behavioral health and/or medical environment preferred.
  • Must attain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within one year of employment and maintain certification thereafter.
  • Attain BLS-C certification during initial periods and maintain certification thereafter.

  • Ability to work well within a team environment, accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa, creating a patient-centered environment.
  • Self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in meeting environmental constraints and demands.
Compensation

$16.71/hr - $20.05/hr

The salary range on this job posting is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
