Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Recovery Room RN to join our team at St. Joseph Health in Bryan/College Station, Navasota, Caldwell, Madisonville, TX.

St. Joseph Health is a leader in critical care and the largest provider of cardiovascular care in the region. Our comprehensive network includes over 100 employed providers, 30 ambulatory clinics, and state-of-the-art facilities.

The Role

  • You will utilize the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost-effective, quality-driven, and patient-focused manner.
  • You will collect pertinent social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual data from patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members.
  • You will perform ongoing assessments, formulate nursing diagnoses, and goals, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • You will consistently document in patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care.
  • You will provide teaching and information to patients and families on various topics, including pain management, nutrition, skin integrity, fall prevention, diabetes, disease process, smoking cessation, and discharge instructions.
  • You will demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of patients, hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, ethical decision-making, and ensuring patient safety.
  • You will use interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population and participate in research activities.

Qualifications

  • You must have an Associate's Degree in Nursing and at least one year of acute care RN experience.
  • You must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • You must have American Heart Association BLS certification and obtain ACLS and PALS within six months.

Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this role is $115,000 per year, plus a $20,000 sign-on bonus for new hires who meet eligibility requirements.
