MLGW is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for training, directing, and supervising Division/Contracted officers engaged in the protection and security of Division personnel and property.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Train and supervise Division/Contracted officers to ensure they are equipped to handle security-related tasks and responsibilities.
  • Direct and oversee security operations to ensure the safety and security of Division personnel and property.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to prevent and respond to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. security management, law enforcement) or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of full-time corporate security or law enforcement experience.
  • Current Tennessee Armed Guard license and registration card.
  • Special Deputy Sheriff's Commission through the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.
  • NIMS Training completion within 1 year of entering the role.
  • No felony or misdemeanor convictions or releases/discharges under any condition other than honorable from the armed forces.
  • 20/70 vision in each eye corrected to 20/20 with normal color vision and depth perception.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence.

**Physical Working Conditions:**

  • Works inside and outside, subject to hazards of security work.
  • Shift work required.
