Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Northeast Georgia Health System, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our diverse patient population. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Assist with data collection and provide feedback to the Registered Nurse to enhance clinical decisions about treatments and nursing interventions.
  • Participate in the development of nursing diagnoses and carry out the established plan of care, documenting reassessments, interventions, and patient responses to interventions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care, including teaching patients and significant others regarding needs identified on admission and during hospitalization.
  • Contribute to a healthy and supportive work environment by sharing knowledge, skills, and observations with colleagues and participating in quality improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Current State LPN License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of ten (10) hours of continuing nursing education annually in addition to the 20 hours of mandatory licensure requirement
  • New graduate LPNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the LPN residency program
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience
