Quality Engineer Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to spearhead quality assurance efforts and promote ongoing enhancements. The successful candidate will possess the capability to:

  • Exhibit expertise in interpreting blueprints, performing shop calculations, and understanding GD&T

Core Responsibilities:

  • Uphold safety protocols
  • Serve as the primary Quality liaison between clients and the production process
  • Facilitate investigations into root causes and corrective measures
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance processes
  • Address customer issues and manage corrective actions
  • Assist operations with quality methodologies
  • Examine and interpret process data
  • Propose process modifications based on analytical findings
  • Engage in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities
  • Coordinate PPAP documentation for new product introductions
  • Champion continuous improvement projects
  • Gather and assess quality metrics
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems and ISO standards
  • Support additional tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of pertinent experience
  • Background in metal fabrication, stamping, and forming processes
  • Proficient in manufacturing measurement instruments and equipment
  • Fundamental understanding of mechanical operations and machinery
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
  • ASQ certification and experience with PC-DMIS are advantageous
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional reasoning capabilities
  • Physical Requirements: Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Work Environment: Openness to various working conditions

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week)
  • Standard Monday to Friday schedule
