Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Sambazon Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing third-party logistics (3PL) processes, programs, and project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of 3PL processes, including freight management, inventory control, and supply chain optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations, including production, customer, international customer, and international ocean freight to the US.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements, and implement changes to optimize logistics operations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including supply planning, logistics management, sales, and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as invoice approvals, routing, tracking, and completing BOLs, Pick-up Sheets, and related documents.
  • Negotiate claims/shortages and process with both the carrier and/or third-party warehouses.
  • Specialize in Costco US and international, including load tenders, consolidation, and working with international freight forwarders specific to Costco.
  • Assist with implementing, maintaining, and growing a domestic TMS platform launching in 2024.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Three plus years of experience in logistics, ocean freight, rail, supply chain, or a combination of experience in these preferred areas.
  • Strong knowledge of Less Than Truck Load (LTL) and international freight, including basic knowledge of EXPORT SHIPPING documents, such as NAFTA, TM-11, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to use and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
