We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lifestyle Director to join our team at Moldaw Residences, a luxury senior living community located on the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life in Palo Alto. As a Lifestyle Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing a wide range of activities and programming that meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, and environmental needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership to and management of Lifestyles Coordinators
- Plan, coordinate, and direct a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, and environmental activities that cater to the diverse needs of our residents
- Develop a robust program that showcases a deep understanding of Jewish tradition and culture, ensuring it is suitable for a senior living community
- Assess resident preferences and create a program of opportunities that are meaningful to the residents served, enhancing their sense of well-being
- Coordinate a dynamic and active volunteer program
- Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff on disease prevention and management, aligning with the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program
- Plan and execute diverse and engaging programs to meet the needs of our diverse resident population, including newly retired seniors, seniors in need of physical assistance, and seniors in varying stages of memory loss
- Associate or bachelor's degree in recreational activities/life enrichment or equivalent working experience in the field
- Strong knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions, with the ability to apply this knowledge to senior living programming
- Three years of working experience in activities/life enrichment with seniors
- Experience working with memory care residents desired; supervisory experience preferred
