Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for the US software engineering team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and other departments to create and execute project roadmaps that meet customer and business needs.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and deployment.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant technologies to enhance our platform.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to acquire new skills and knowledge.
  • Lead the integration of engineering teams and technologies for the USA, applying Commify best practices and processes within the acquired organisation.
  • Assist in the execution of technical due diligence during mergers and acquisitions, focusing on maintaining and improving service levels, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance our technical capabilities.
  • Promote and implement agile development methodologies to optimize team performance and project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated experience of Agile transformation and leading teams using agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong expertise in Quality Engineering and can clearly articulate the steps required to ensure functional and non-functional quality in loosely coupled cloud solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving innovation and change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in modern software development languages, frameworks, and tools, including .NET, C#, JavaScript, and others.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and messaging protocols.

Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000 per annum
