Hyperbaric Technician

Abrazo West Campus is seeking a highly skilled Hyperbaric Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide hyperbaric therapy to patients as ordered by physicians, ensuring the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems.
Responsibilities- Provide hyperbaric therapy to patients as ordered by physicians
- Monitor and ensure the proper delivery of treatment gas as ordered
- Perform duties under supervision of the Program Director, Clinical Coordinator and/or Clinical Manager
- Responsible for safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems
- Monitor the patient continually during treatment for symptoms of oxygen intolerance, claustrophobia, hypoglycemic reactions, decompression sickness or any other adverse reactions to HBO therapy
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems
- Acts as point person for assessment of materials that are appropriate for use in and around hyperbaric chambers
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and physicians
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Preferred education: Associates Degree
- Minimum experience: 2 years of Hyperbaric Medicine
- Required certifications/licensure: Basic EMT, respiratory therapy, nursing assistant training, or prior military experience in hyperbaric medicine. Certification from an approved hyperbaric course
