Job Summary:

The Endoscopy Care Specialist plays a vital role in providing quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This position involves patient interaction, monitoring vital signs, and assisting physicians to ensure a smooth and safe procedural experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer patient questions and address their concerns before, during, and after procedures.
Monitor and observe patient vital signs throughout the procedure.
Sedate patients as necessary prior to endoscopic procedures.
Oversee the recovery of patients post-procedure, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Administer required medications to patients, including IV drips.
Keep patients informed throughout the duration of the procedure.
Complete all necessary documentation, including patient notes and discharge documents.
Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies required for procedures.
Clean and sterilize equipment prior to use to maintain safety standards.
Provide assistance to physicians during procedures, ensuring efficient workflow.

Required Qualifications:

Active RN state license.
Demonstrated experience in inpatient care, preferably in an endoscopy or surgical setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in using endoscopic equipment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective patient communication.
