POSITION SUMMARY
This role necessitates in-person work. The individual will be responsible for delivering desktop support to users, addressing both hardware and software technical issues.
The incumbent will provide technical assistance to clients through various communication channels. Responsibilities include documenting and managing help desk tickets, troubleshooting technical problems related to software, hardware, and network connectivity, and configuring desktop and laptop systems. Additional duties involve assisting with software installations, updates, and maintaining an inventory of hardware and software.
The individual is expected to align with the mission and values of the Colusa Indian Community Council.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for issues related to desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Support and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure timely resolution of assigned incidents, following up with users and documenting solutions.
- Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
- Install and configure desktop hardware, software, and peripherals following standard procedures.
- Provide technical assistance on security systems, including cameras and access control locks.
- Assist in designing and installing LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supply inventories.
- Document requests for technical assistance and the steps taken to resolve them.
- Act as the primary contact for all computer and system-related inquiries.
- Utilize effective time-management skills to establish reasonable deadlines for resolutions.
- Make independent decisions and manage customer support situations effectively.
- Evaluate new product versions and recommend upgrade schedules.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software as needed.
- Read and interpret documents, writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Manage daily tasks and projects to completion.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across various departments.
- Communicate through multiple channels to achieve objectives.
- Perform other duties as necessary based on the role's functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Desktop Technician or similar role
Licensing:
- Must possess Microsoft A+ certification or equivalent experience.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Must have a valid California Driver's license.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: None
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve a variety of network, software, and hardware issues.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting.
- Experience with printer and desktop hardware troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands for this role include:

- Vision: Requires close visual acuity for data analysis and computer work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is typically an office setting that is well-lit and temperature-controlled, with a low to moderate noise level. Occasional work may be required in various conditions.
