Position: Rheumatologist – Locations: Chelmsford, MA & Lawrence, MA

New England Neurological Associates (NENA) has become part of Lowell General Hospital and Tufts Medicine, and is looking for a Rheumatologist to enhance our practice.

Department Overview:

• Integrated Healthcare: NENA consists of a collaborative network of 28 Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians, integrated within the Tufts Medicine Health System, which includes over 700 affiliated healthcare providers and a clinical partnership with Tufts Medical Center.
• Subspecialties: Our subspecialty areas encompass epileptology, stroke management, movement disorders, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular conditions, and migraine treatment.
• Collaboration: NENA serves over 64,000 patients in the Merrimack Valley, and through our alliance with Tufts Medicine, we are committed to enhancing healthcare access, including plans for a neuro-immunology program and the establishment of a Memory Center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Community Engagement: As an Outpatient Rheumatologist, you will provide care to a culturally diverse population in the greater Lowell, MA area from our offices.
• Patient-Centric Approach: With over 50 years of service, NENA stands as one of the largest multispecialty neuroscience group practices in the region. Our primary focus is on ensuring patient comfort, convenience, and the enhancement of their quality of life in a friendly and efficient manner. Our mission and values, along with a strong customer service ethos, guide our daily operations.
• Our Rheumatology Division addresses a broad spectrum of conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, systemic inflammatory arthritis, bone disorders, joint pain, musculoskeletal pain syndromes, local and systemic sclerosis, vasculitis, inflammatory diseases, and other autoimmune disorders.
• Team Collaboration: You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, ensuring continuity of care for patients within a single practice. Support from Nurse Practitioners is available, with flexible scheduling that allows for documentation time during your workday. NENA aims to be the preferred choice for patients, a desirable workplace for physicians, and an excellent environment for employees.

Work Schedule:

Available as part-time or full-time. Full-time typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is no hospital call, with practice call being 1:2, resulting in approximately 3-6 calls per month for critical lab values.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a medical degree (MD or DO) or an equivalent foreign qualification, along with board certification in Rheumatology to be fully licensed and credentialed as an attending physician.
