Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented individual to support the testing of vendor-provided developmental and production hardware and software as part of our standards conformance and interoperability certification mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and modify existing test plans and procedures to determine if existing procedures are sufficient for a waveform test technician to execute.
- Develop new test plans and procedures.
- Attend working group meetings for new and existing standards.
- Execute test equipment setup, perform functionality checks on equipment, and setup and configure equipment for new and existing capabilities using waveform-specific test kits.
- Provide engineering assistance to the test team technicians before, during, and after test execution.
- Recommend equipment, facility, or capability for upgrade, replacement, or discontinuation associated with the annual lab modernization effort.
- Develop test scripts, programs, and procedures to automate testing and increase lab efficiency.
- Provide recommendations on candidate subtests for reevaluation following a comprehensive review of vendor-provided documentation noting RF terminal software and hardware changes that have been previously assessed/certified.
- Experience with component-level RF circuit characterization and optimization.
- Experience with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and network analyzer.
- Experience with automated test scripts and software tools.
- Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of complex tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- This position requires an active Secret security clearance on hire date with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance. Current TS/SCI is desired.
- Requires a Doctorate and at least 4 years of experience; a Master's degree and at least 10 years of experience; or a Bachelor's and 16 years of experience. The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties. Relevant technical degrees include the following, though the Government may consider other curriculums, various engineering and science disciplines, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, and Mathematics.
- Related certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
