Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Herbruck Poultry Ranch. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair operations necessary to keep plant equipment and tools in good operating condition from an electrical and mechanical standpoint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operation of machinery and all electrical equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, install, test, and repair all processing equipment electrically and mechanically.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, panels, motors, receptacles, circuit breakers, conduits, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Complete and document all PM checklists.
- Inspect electrical enclosures of equipment following safety procedures, ensuring panels are clean, organized, and free of moisture.
- Communicate location with the maintenance manager daily.
- Maintain continuity between maintenance by documenting and/or communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Assist in maintaining equipment parts and supply inventory, reporting used items to the inventory specialist for reorder.
- Meticulously inspect all areas of work, removing all tools, parts, cleaning, etc.
- Perform all other duties appointed by management.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices (including but not limited to a Digital Volt Meter (DVM)).
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Able to work around moving machinery comfortably and safely.
- Working in a farm environment with various conditions.
- Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds, or cattle.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Capable of working weekends and maintaining a flexible schedule, including regularly scheduled shifts, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as holidays when needed (being on call).
- Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Proper use of PPE as required.
- LOTO authorized as assigned.
