Key Duties:

  1. Punctually report to your designated prep station as per the work schedule. Ensure your uniform is clean and meets restaurant standards.
  2. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness throughout your shifts.
  3. Prepare food items, equipment, and supplies necessary for effective station operation, reporting any issues to the Sous Chef or Chef promptly.
  4. Assist fellow kitchen staff with food preparation and side tasks according to prep lists.
  5. Ensure all food products are prepared according to company specifications, recipes, and quality standards to guarantee a superior dining experience for our guests.
  6. Uphold the highest levels of sanitation and food safety in your work area, including prep tables, countertops, refrigeration units, and more.
  7. Adhere to safety guidelines and practices throughout your shift, reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
  8. Support other Back-of-House roles as needed to enhance the guest experience.
  9. Complete all closing duties at the end of your shift, assisting the Sous Chef and other kitchen team members in maintaining cleanliness.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to stand and maintain mobility for up to eight hours.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching required for stock management and line work.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with supervisors, team members, vendors, and guests.
  • Ability to taste and distinguish various flavors and scents in food and beverages.
  • Comfortable working in environments with extreme temperatures and loud noises.
  • Adherence to safety protocols, including the use of cut gloves.
  • Good grooming habits are essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience as a prep cook in a full-service, fine dining or casual dining restaurant is preferred.
  • Experience with fresh ingredients is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
