The Visual Lead is a key member of the Lacoste Outlets - North East team, responsible for driving the brand's visual identity and maximizing profitability through effective visual merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive visual merchandising strategy that aligns with the company's brand image and sales goals.
- Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create visually appealing and effective store displays that drive customer engagement and conversion.
- Design and produce window displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans, and special promotions displays that showcase the brand's products and messaging.
- Identify key messages and develop a clear visual identity that reflects the brand's image and target market.
- Brainstorm and present design ideas with the visual merchandising team to ensure alignment with the company's global directive and brand standards.
- Monitor costs and work within budget to ensure effective use of resources.
- Implement proper markdown execution, compliance in hard marking clearance items, signage placement, and investment in moving through aged inventory to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Oversee the production of arranging displays and ensure timely execution of visual merchandising plans.
- Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes.
- Liaise with suppliers to source elements and materials for visual displays.
- Research lifestyle, demographics, and design trends to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required to support the team and achieve business objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a retail environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 30 pounds when unloading shipments, merchandising sales floors, and using ladders or stairs.
- Solid experience in field visual merchandising, including window displays, signs, interior displays, and space utilization.
- Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices.
- Creative and innovative thinker.
- Good communication skills required.
- Ability to work as a team player, be outgoing, well-organized, and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
- Ability to overcome obstacles and deal with customers in a fast-paced, high-volume, and competitive environment.
