About the Role

The Advanced EMT will be responsible for providing direct patient care in accordance with company protocols and online medical direction. This includes administering first aid treatment, transporting patients to medical facilities, and working collaboratively with emergency medical teams.

Job Description
  • Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide critical care to patients in need.
  • Determine the nature and extent of illnesses or injuries and establish first aid procedures to follow.
  • Administer prescribed first aid treatments, including splinting, oxygen administration, and intravenous injections.
  • Communicate effectively with emergency medical personnel at treatment facilities to obtain instructions and arrange for patient transport.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment, replenish supplies, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Kansas Advanced EMT Certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Certifications: Infection Control Certificate, CPR certification, and NREMT certification (preferred).
  • Licensure: State Driver's License and a compliant driving record.
  • Physical Ability: Pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT).
