Leidos is a world-class employer seeking an Electrical Systems Design Professional to work in our Framingham, MA office on a hybrid schedule. This role requires interest in developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems and 3rd party make-ready analysis using various software systems and construction standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and construction work package development of electrical overhead systems, underground distribution systems mostly associated with programmatic work such as overloaded transformers, inspection and maintenance, joint use, and inspection reports.
  • Analyze existing overhead infrastructure to create remedies for telecommunication companies to adhere to for proposed attachments that meet NESC clearances.
  • Comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget.

This position involves working through a temp agency for 6 months before conversion to a Leidos employee. To be successful, the selected candidate should have strong communication skills and ability to work with clients and project teams.

Requirements:
  • AS degree with 1+ years of experience or additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Background working with a utility performing design work.
  • Familiarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc, LD Field, SPIDA Calc, Pole Foreman).
  • Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $57,850 - $104,575 based on the location and industry standards. Successful candidates can look forward to a fast-paced, diverse work environment and flexible work hours/work arrangements as well as managers who will encourage career development and growth.
