Healthcare Engineering Technician II

Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Engineering Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our clinical engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex biomedical equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair medical equipment and systems, including installation, calibration, and repair of complex biomedical equipment and interconnected systems.
- Provide in-service education for clinical and technical staff on critical medical devices and systems.
- Work with minimal supervision on a regular basis and be capable of giving in-service education for clinical and technical staff on critical medical devices and systems.
- On-call and overtime is often required as well as travel to other Mayo Clinic sites.
Requirements:
- Associate of Applied Science degree from a Biomedical Electronics Program or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, biology, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with test tools needed to perform medical equipment maintenance.
- Understanding of common clinical terminology used in a hospital or clinic.
- Knowledge of networks, computer hardware, computer software, and computer security.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a surgical or operating room environment.
- Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future.
