Hospitalist Physician

At Williamson Health, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hospitalist Physician to join our team. As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, cost-effective, and evidence-based medical care to our hospitalized patients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and managerial abilities, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for coordinating care for patients at discharge, facilitating hand-offs to outpatient physicians, and participating in the achievement of patient safety goals and quality measures.
As a Hospitalist Physician, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to determine the best care plan for our patients. You will prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications, and communicate effectively with patients and their families.

Responsibilities- Responsible for the assessment, evaluation, and clinical management of patients.
- Provides active management of patient conditions through diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic medical services.
- Works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to determine the best care plan for patients.
- Facilitates timely admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
- Provides information, education, and support to patients and their families.
- Prescribes or recommends pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Consults with other physicians as needed.
- Participates in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Current licensure by the State of Tennessee as a medical doctor or osteopathic physician.
- Current DEA number.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership, managerial ability, and good interpersonal skills.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Current ACLS certification.
