Patient Care Coordinator

Vanguard Medical Group is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant Level 3 to join our patient-centered care team as a Patient Care Coordinator.
Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation for this position ranges from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. Vanguard offers a $2+ shift differential for weekday hours worked after 6:00pm and all weekend hours. Key Responsibilities- Patient Preparation and Vital Sign Measurement: Perform general Medical Assistant duties, including patient preparation, vital sign measurement, record-keeping, and equipment management, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Patient Care Coordination: Lead the coordination of patient care, ensuring a seamless and efficient healthcare experience for our patients.
- Medication Management Expertise: Administer a wide range of medications, including injections, intravenous medications, and specialty medications, with the highest level of expertise and precision.
- Advanced Procedures: Assist providers in advanced medical procedures, such as complex surgical procedures, advanced diagnostic testing, and interventional treatments.
- Quality Improvement Champion: Take a proactive role in quality improvement initiatives, using your expertise to identify opportunities for process enhancement and patient care optimization.
- Referral and Insurance Expert: Handle complex billing information, insurance forms, and referrals, managing intricate cases and ensuring patients receive the necessary specialized care.
- Patient Advocate: Serve as an advocate for patients, providing guidance and support during their healthcare journey.
- Mentorship and Training: Mentor and train Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Medical Assistants, sharing your expertise and knowledge to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Leadership: Assume a leadership role within the clinical team, guiding and motivating fellow team members to achieve the highest standards of patient care.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
- Accredited Medical Assistant Program Degree: Required
- Certification: Current/active CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, with a demonstrated ability to take on advanced responsibilities and leadership roles
- EMR Proficiency: Proficiency in using Athena or an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
