As a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Surgical Services, you will be an integral part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team.

You will apply your specialized nursing skills to cater to diverse age groups, including adults, adolescents, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
Your responsibilities will include preparing for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available in designated areas.
Post-procedure, you will assist with cleaning and organizing the surgical space, managing unused supplies, and preparing for subsequent procedures.
You will also mentor and guide staff members, providing resources and delegating tasks based on their competency levels.
Flexibility to rotate to other areas is expected, and you will perform only those duties for which you have demonstrated proficiency.Qualifications Required:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Graduation from an accredited nursing program is essential, with a BSN preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a perioperative setting is mandatory. ACLS and PALS certification must be obtained within six months of hire. CNOR certification is preferred.
Additional Insights:
Experience in a Level I trauma center is advantageous. This role offers a pathway for career advancement into leadership positions.

Shift Details: 12 Hour Shifts, with consideration for 10 Hour shifts. Services provided include Neuro, General, CV, Plastics, Complex Neuro, Head/Neck, Burn, and Trauma. Unit Overview: Number of Beds: 6 ORs; Staff Count: 15; Shift Type: 6 (may vary occasionally).
On-call duties may be required. Rotating weekday and weekend shifts. Night shifts are not applicable. Patient Ratios: 1:1.Essential Equipment:
Specialized equipment includes Hana table, Beach Chair, Jackson flat top, stirrups, microscopes, ENT drills, etc.
EMR System:
Meditech.
Mandatory Skills:
Candidates lacking these skills will not be considered for the position.
Experience in Orthopedics, OMF, GYN, and ENT is required. Strong teamwork skills are essential.
Preferred Skills:
Candidates with these skills will be prioritized.
Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.

Typical procedures performed include Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, Podiatry, and OMF.
