About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at British Swim School of Buffalo. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swim lessons to children and young adults using our fun, gentle, and progressive methods, with an emphasis on water survival skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach the British Swim School curriculum to swimmers of all ages and abilities while maintaining a safe and positive environment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with students' parents and/or guardians by providing meaningful feedback regarding their child's progress.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled during operating hours.
  • Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and be able to stand in the water for up to four consecutive hours.
Requirements
  • Possess a high school diploma, equivalent, or be in the process of completion.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are required.
  • An enthusiastic personality is a must.
  • Be reliable, come to work when scheduled, and on time.
  • Be comfortable in and around the water.
  • Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children.
  • Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred with knowledge of the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
  • Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.
  • Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred.

Compensation
