Position Overview:
Davis & Floyd is in search of a dedicated and skilled Civil Infrastructure Inspector to become part of our team. We are a well-established engineering firm with a legacy of delivering exceptional services since 1954.

Role Expectations:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct essential inspection services related to earthwork, base materials, asphalt, erosion control, and various construction activities.
2. Foster effective communication and interaction with team members and client representatives.
3. Verify that all new construction adheres to established plans, specifications, special provisions, standard drawings, and other contractual documents.
4. Ensure thorough inspections of all construction projects.
5. Prepare daily reports on inspections and contractor performance.
6. Confirm that design and construction meet client expectations and permit stipulations.
7. Compile and finalize closing packages.
8. Document as-built revisions and review them with contractors.
9. Coordinate inspections with contractors across multiple projects.

Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience with SCDOT projects is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Preferred Certifications:
- SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician (ART).
- SCDOT Earthwork, Drainage & Base Inspector.
- SCDHEC Certified Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control Inspector.
